We are just getting started.
In early 2019, Shattering The Silence will be launching its first-ever mentorship program in New York City. In partnership with various organizations and agencies, the initiative aims to empower the youth to make a difference in their own communities. More information will be available soon. For inquiries or volunteer opportunities, please contact our national team.
On September 30th, gun violence prevention groups from across New York City united to demand stricter gun legislation. We would like to thank all of our incredible partners, volunteers, speakers, and attendees. This was just the beginning.
Walkout To Vote
On November 6, election day, students from across the nation walked out to make their voices heard. Even though many of young Americans are too young to vote, they did their part by making America listen to our generation on November 6.
On October 1st, we gathered at Central Park's Naumburg Bandshell for a candlelight vigil to honor the 58 lives lost on the one-year anniversary of the Las Vegas massacre. Today was a moment of respect and reflection, but also a reminder of why we all must continue to demand for a safer nation for all Americans.
